Laundry pickup-and-delivery service HappyNest recently announced its expansion into the St. Louis market.
“We have been interested in expansion into middle America since we launched HappyNest, and we feel Graylin Slater and his team will be a great partner for us going forward.” said HappyNest founder John MacKrell. “Having had the chance to learn about Graylin’s stores and the operation he runs makes me very confident that we found the right partner to start our expansion in the Midwest.”
Slater, a lifelong St. Louis resident, has been in the laundromat business for more than 15 years and owns two stores in the area – Larimore Laundry and Dew Drop Laundry. He also is an active member in his church, as well as a strong supporter of youth sports in the area and a member of the Shalom City of Peace.
“The laundromat business has been very good to me and my family thus far, and I’m ready to adapt to the times and jump into the pickup-and-delivery business,” he explained. “With technology taking over and families searching for more free time, I see pickup and delivery as the next frontier in the laundry industry, and I know the HappyNest team will help me grow and scale my business.”
In addition to his walk-in laundromat business, Graylin will now be offering residential pickup and delivery throughout the St. Louis area, as well as in St. Charles and Madison counties.
