60+ HappyNest partners from across the U.S. gathered in Newport, RI to discuss effective strategies for building growth of pickup and delivery laundry businesses

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. and NEWPORT R.I. — July 12, 2024 — HappyNest, the tech-enabled laundry pickup and delivery service hosted its 3rd Annual Partner Conference on June 19-20, gathering 60+ partners from across the U.S. in Newport, Rhode Island. HappyNest currently supports over 130 laundromat partners in 38 states, to bring the next-day pickup and delivery laundry service to residents and businesses across the nation. The conference offered HappyNest partners the opportunity to network and share ideas surrounding growth, staffing, operations, and industry trends.

“This was our 3rd Annual Partner Conference and the most successful one yet,” said John MacKrell, HappyNest’s founder and CEO, who spoke on HappyNest’s current initiatives and vision for the future. “It was an event organized by HappyNest and led by our partners. We are always striving to do better and support our Partners as they grow and increase their revenue. Events like our Annual Conference always reinforce the strong sense of community and collaboration among our Partners and the HappyNest team.”

The Conference began with a welcome reception followed by a full day of presentations and discussions. After a brief overview of the year and roadmap for future growth, the group heard from Baltimore partner, Charlie Russell, and Virginia Beach partner, Bryan Neal, who spoke on their experiences with recent HappyNest initiatives. Following their presentation, the agenda shifted towards standardization and processes. Matt Zaleskas of PG County, MD shared helpful insights on maintaining brand standards as well as tips for organizing supplies and training staff. Matt shared, “The conference allowed me to come together with other partners and renew my unwavering commitment to the HappyNest brand. This time allowed me a unique opportunity to learn and share my experiences with other operators and corporate to constantly improve and build a process we are all proud of.”

The afternoon session, led by Aaron McLean from Detroit, MI, delved into staffing strategies and offered valuable insights on hiring, retaining, and training staff for efficient pickup and delivery services. Following this, a panel Q&A session allowed partners to exchange impactful strategies and successful approaches in staffing, processing, and scaling their operations. Panelists featured Jennie Jimenez from Montgomery County, MD; Amber Knott from Mobile, Alabama; Ralph Myers from Jacksonville, FL; and Jon Williamson from Columbus, OH. Partners also had the opportunity to engage with various HappyNest team members from departments including Partner Support, Customer Service, Commercial Sales, Technology, and Marketing.

“This was my third year attending the partner conference for HappyNest. The emphasis is always customers first, then partners and finally HappyNest. It is refreshing because most organizations think of themselves first, then their partners and finally customers,” said Virginia Beach Partner, Bryan Neal. “We work together so everyone succeeds. We get to spend time with all the HappyNest departments to see what they are doing for us, and they ask the partners how they can do it better to grow our businesses. Honestly, what other laundry pickup and delivery software company is going to do this? Nobody, because this is more than a software company. It’s a partnership designed to make everyone succeed.”

The HappyNest team is grateful to have such a hard-working and dedicated network of partners to bring pickup and delivery service to residents and business across the U.S. HappyNest processes over 30,000 pickups and over half a million pounds of laundry every month.
